Classic chess is an age-old strategy game designed for two participants, played on a checkered board consisting of 64 squares arranged in an 8×8 layout. At the game’s outset, each player controls 16 pieces: one king, a queen, two knights, two rooks, two bishops, and eight pawns. The primary objective in this chess challenge is to achieve checkmate against the opponent’s king, thus placing him in a position of unavoidable capture. Players have the option to engage with sophisticated artificial intelligence or compete against another individual on the same device. Additionally, the game offers features to tackle various chess puzzles.
